Behavior Technician

A person who is not credentialed and works one-to-one providing ABA services under the supervision of a BCBA, BCaBA, or QBHP. They implement interventions outlined in the client’s Behavior Plan.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBTs)

A credentialed paraprofessional works with individuals receiving ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA. They implement interventions outlined in the client’s Behavior Plan.

BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)

A healthcare professional who conducts curricular assessments develops a Behavior Plan to reduce maladaptive behaviors, increase functional communication, social skills, and daily functional skills through the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

QBHP (Qualified Behavioral Health Provider)

A qualified behavioral health provider who conducts curricular assessments develops a Behavior Plan to reduce maladaptive behaviors, increase functional communication, social skills, and daily functional skills through the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The QBHP provides behavior-analytic services under the direct supervision of a BCBA.
